I am an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice. My areas of expertise include criminal justice, criminology, criminological theory, sociology, research methods, and statistics. I teach college-level courses such as Introduction to Criminal Justice, Corrections, Criminology, Social Problems, Minority Groups, Race, Crime, and Justice, and Social Research Methods. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and have found tutoring to be rewarding extension of that. I am a physically active person who loves being outdoors. I enjoy going on long walks with my dog, TJ, every day. I also like biking, rollerblading, and bowling. Weather permitting, I love skiing! I also enjoy working out. As for inside activities, I am a board game enthusiast. I consider myself a "student of life" and I love learning, so I also enjoy reading and watching documentaries. I am continuously looking for ways to improve myself and my abilities; for example, I was involved with Toastmasters for over a year to improve my communication (i.e., public speaking) and leadership skills.
